So it turns out that when you start your day off by having your husband bring you Starbucks, it just means that you have a much loftier height from which to fall when your day goes south than on a typical day. (**side note - every wednesday is now caramel macchiato day until mat leave...I have declared it thus)
No, I don't want to go into details about my day...I just wanted to tell you what I learned while surviving it.
On another topic, I am so excited. I love anticipation. I actually don't like surprises because I feel that it deprives me the joy of anticipating the coming event. Something that has really been bugging me lately is the amount of times I hear, after expressing my excitement, "oh don't worry...it won't be nearly as fun as you think once the baby arrives", or something to that extent. I realize that I haven't had the sleepless nights, or had to rock a screaming baby, or had my hair pulled out, or had to clean up puke 3 times in one night yet, but I know that it's all coming and I'm still excited. Becoming parent is such a blessing, and I can't wait to jump in with Mitch.

Sorry things are so rough Josie. I will pray that 17 days passes quickly! I wish people wouldn't say dumb things like it won't be as much fun. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a mom. I think its a thousand times more fun than being pregnant. Anyways once you are off you should come to Mom2Mom we would love to have you join us.
ReplyDeleteIt is WAY better once baby arrives. I have loved EVERY (or darned near close) to every minute of being a mom. Boo to the naysayers!
ReplyDeleteHope that the last days go swiftly. I get the importance of keeping work relationships good... nice that it's only a few more weeks.
